About Me

Peter Godfrey is Chairman and original investor in FIRST, a global brand experience agency. He is Vice-Chairman and on the Board of Directors of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club. In addition, he chairs the technology- and property-focused Godfrey Investment Group, as well as a leadership and coaching organisation and regularly advises many individuals and organisations, including a UK-based professional golf tour.

With over 60 years in business, Peter served as President of American Express’s Global Network Services Division as well as holding senior positions at HSBC. In 2010 Peter won the distinguished ’Outstanding Contribution’ award within the payments industry. Further achievements include winning one of the Gold Awards in Considerate Construction. With a strong interest in work-life balance philosophies and wellbeing, he supports several charitable organisations and is a football, golf, cricket and squash enthusiast, holding professional certification in squash coaching and umpiring.
